The WGTA and it's membership are a recipient of NYSUT's Local Community Service Award, symbolic of the local's "collective and sustained contribution to community service."

June 2007

A letter was received from the Teaching Center thanking the WGTA for its recent $100 donation in support of the annual New York State Teaching Conference.

The WGTA Cabinet voted to support West Genesee employees in the Corporate Challenge with a donation to be determined by the WGTA Executive Officers. This amount will not to exceed $500.00.

WGTA Increases Donation to the Scholarship Fund

The WGTA Cabinet voted to increase the individual WGTA scholarships from $500 per year to $750 per year. Thank you to everyone that donates to the WGTA Scholarship Fund.

WGTA Donates to the American Heart Association

The WGTA Denim Day for the American Heart Association raised $881.75. Thank you to everyone that participated.

WGTA Donates to the Camillus Memorial Day Boosters

The WGTA Cabinet voted to donate $50.00 to the Camillus Memorial Day Boosters to help support the Camillus Memorial Day festivities.

WGTA Donates to The Teaching Center

The WGTA Cabinet donated $100 to the Statewide Teacher Center Summer Institute to be hosted by Teaching Centers from eastern upstate New York.

After The Ball Party Donation

The WGTA donated $250 to the West Genesee Senior All Night After The Ball Party.

St. Baldrick's Foundation Donation

The WGTA donated $250 to the St. Baldricks Foundation in support of President Cost's "give five to help kids survive cancer" challenge.
